In many ways excellence is striving for perfection and coping with the tendency towards mediocrity.
Towards the seventieth anniversary of the State of Israel, a number of ceremonies for outstanding IDF soldiers were held.
Between the soldiers that were awarded, three of them are students in our Yeshiva. Out of the three, two are Paramedics, Michael Cohen, from the Kfir Brigade, and Elia Maman of the Infantry School. And so was Daniel, a soldier in a Special Intelligence Unit.
In addition, Rabbi Yedidya Kahana, Rav at the Yeshiva, was given an outstanding award by the Chief of Staff of the Northern Command.
Parents Evening – The Shachak Bar Mitzvah Program
Sunday this week we had an evening for the parents of the incoming group of Bar Mitzvah boys (second one this year) with the purpose of introducing the program and giving them full information about the program and its activities.
So far over 1400 boys have participated in this amazingly successful program, which is conducted in cooperation with the Modiin Department of Jewish Culture and the Western Wall Heritage Fund.

We arrived at the graves and held a memorial service in their honor and learned about the heroism of the fallen soldiers.
