This week we held the annual commemoration for our dear Amnon Lipkin-Shahak, on his eleventh yortzait.

The commemoration took place at the Yeshiva

with the participation Rabbi Yaakov Chikotai,

friends of the late Amnon from the military,

family members, his wife Tali and his son Gili, Yeshiva Rabbis and students (those who are not recruited).

Rav Shenvald spoke about the complexity of a time of war which on the one hand is a difficult and painful hour and on the other hand shows the strength and bravery of the people, which are usually not expressed in routine.

About Amnon's image as a 'responsible adult' who strove to unite the extremes in the nation, and who was committed to helping establish the Yeshiva in the city, regardless of the objections of several parties.

His wife Tali thanked all those gathered who preserve the memory of the late Amnon.
