Bar Mitzvah students volunteer together with the Yeshiva students
In the Yeshiva Bar Mitzvah program, non-religious boys learn basic Judaism lessons and prepare for their Bar Mitzvah, go up to the Western Wall to put on tefillin and read their Torah portion...
but also learn to volunteer for the community.
In each class they join the Yeshiva students who volunteer in an organization in Jerusalem that prepares food for the needy.
This week the 25 members of the group went up and it was amazing!
The boys managed to organize about 50 cartons ready to be sent to the needy, and they had time to peel and cut whole crates of vegetables!
