Chief Rabbi of Israel at the Yeshiva -
Subject of the speech: There was not and will not be a stipulation in the examination of Judaism by DNA testing
About 100 people took part in a seminar held at the Meir Harel Yeshiva in Modi'in.
In his lecture, Chief Rabbi of Israel Rabbi David Lau referred to the false media report that the rabbinate requires DNA testing to prove Judaism.
The Rabbi explained how false information was built.
When the court sought to help prove the Jewishness of the litigants and this intention was distorted by the media.
Rabbi Lau explained what DNA testing is,
What are the characteristics of the coils that indicate the identified genetic roots of the subject,
And whether there are genetic characteristic lines in DNA that may indicate Jewish roots.
And whether it is halachically valid when there is a question mark on Judaism.
