Congratulations to Rabbi Yedidya Kahana
Commander of the Northern Command on the 70th Independence Day
The Yeshiva congratulates the outstanding Rav Yedidya Kahana, Commander of the Northern Command on the 70th Independence Day on receiving honors from the Chief Commander.
Rav Yedidya Kahana, who teaches at the Yeshiva, is a certified Judge and a Torah scholar of high stature. In addition to his Shiurim at the Yeshiva, he teaches to the public in Modi'in: To the adults in the Community Beit Midrash in Yeshiva and to the retirees in the Beit Midrash for the pensioners next to the Yeshiva.
Despite his age and status, he continues to serve (as a reservist) as a commander in a reserve unit of elite infantry, and continues to participate in operational and ongoing security activities.
He serves as an educational example for students to combine greatness in Torah with contribution to the national security.
On the occasion of Israel's 70th Independence Day, it was decided by the Chief of Command to grant him the honor of Excellence!
