"Whoever mourns for Jerusalem will merit and see her future joy" (Ta'anit 30b)
כׇּל הַמִּתְאַבֵּל עַל יְרוּשָׁלַיִם זוֹכֶה וְרוֹאֶה בְּשִׂמְחָתָהּ
This year, our Beit Midrash was privileged to hold the mourning for Jerusalem properly.
As only possible in a Yeshiva.
And its gates were open to the general public and via Zoom.
We learned once again how much the mourning can uplift the soul.
And connect us to the lack of the Temple and the rebuilding of Jerusalem.
The program was the initiative of the students which began on Shabbat and continued on Tisha BeAv.
We said goodbye to the students at the end of the fast.
After breaking the fast .... for three weeks vacation .....
In prayer we have a safe and enjoyable summer
And we will all return on Rosh Chodesh Elul eager to study again.
