Siyum of Shas Mishnayot at the Yeshiva in memory of the community member, the late Keren Miriam Zer Kavod
The late Keren died of an illness a month ago.
During the shiva, one of the Yeshiva students, Benjamin Fleischman,
who also serves as an educator at the Avnei Hachoshen school where the late Keren's children study,
offered to study Shas Mishnayot in her memory,
and to divide it among family members, acquaintances, and Yeshiva students.
The Yeshiva students rallied enthusiastically. Some of them undertook to study more than one.
At the end of the 30 days, the extended family, friends and Yeshiva students
gathered to make the Siyum in her memory in the Yeshiva's Beit Midrash.
Benjamin recounted the thought that led him to the initiative:
"We are tought in Yeshiva to act for the community, to be involved and take part.
It seemed to me that this was the best way to initiate and take part to connect us with the community."
