Memorial services for the fallen soldiers from the ultra-Orthodox communities
Seven years ago on Memorial Day,
We started with a special project at the Modiin, Kiryat Ono and Ofakim Yeshivas:
Prayer at the fallen soldiers graves, who were not buried in military cemeteries.
For various reasons, the families of the ultra-Orthodox fighters asked not to bury them in military cemeteries but in civil cemeteries.
The state ceremonies were held only in military cemeteries.
Over the years we went to look for graves of ultra-Orthodox soldiers and visited them on Memorial Day, reciting Tehilim and saying El Maleh Rachamim.
We thought it was inappropriate for their contribution to national security to be forgotten and not appreciated.
This year, besha'a tova, The state is taking responsibility for their memory
May they rest in peace
